Circlips are also called retaining rings or buckles, which are a kind of fasteners, which are installed in the shaft grooves or hole grooves of machines and equipment, and play the role of preventing the axial movement of the parts on the shaft or hole.

　　There are two types of circlip. One is the expansion type and the other is the contraction type.

　　According to the shape or installation position of the circlip, select suitable tools to remove or install the circlip.

　　If you choose unsuitable tools or use excessive force, it will damage the circlip and other parts.

　　There are several types of tools that can be used to remove and install the snap ring. And some tools are exchangeable. Choose the appropriate tool according to the snap ring.

　　Cautions for circlip installation

　　Some axial clearances are adjusted with snap rings.

　　•It should be ensured that the snap ring can rotate smoothly after assembly to confirm that this part has been reliably installed in the snap ring groove.

　　(In some cases, the snap ring cannot be turned, depending on the position used.)

　　•If the snap ring is deformed, replace it with a new one.

　　Axle card (circlip) installation and removal method

　　1. Expansion type circlip

　　Snap ring pliers for 　　(1)

　　Place a snap ring pliers in the gap between the ends of the snap ring, and hold the other end of the snap ring with your hands. Expand the snap ring pliers and remove or install the snap ring in place.

　　(2) Use a flat screwdriver

　　Place a flat-head screwdriver on each side in the gap between the ends of the snap ring, share two flat-head screwdrivers, and then tap the screwdriver lightly.

　　In order to install the snap ring in place, use a brass rod to gently press the snap ring down, and lightly hit it with a hammer on the opposite end of the open end of the snap ring

　　Notice:

　　•Use a cloth to prevent the snap ring from popping out.

　　•Should ensure that the metal chips left on the brass rod are removed.

　　2. Shrink type circlip

　　⑴ Use snap ring sweet

　　Put the snap ring pliers into the snap ring hole, shrink the snap ring pliers, take out the snap ring or assemble the snap ring in place.

　　(2) Use a flat screwdriver

　　Using a flat-head screwdriver, gradually pry the inside out from the edge of the snap ring and remove it.

　　In order to install the snap ring in place, press the snap ring with a flat-head screwdriver until the snap ring is firmly inserted into the retaining groove.

　　⑶ Use Taiwan Bank

　　Assemble the snap ring on the shaft. Clamp the snap ring with a vise, and then press it into the installation.
